Our in house IMPROV SLAM we are calling “Five Fingers of Death”. Five improvisational challenges for the poets, challenges we do will not be announced until that night – so that everything is spontaneous and somewhat deadly. The judges will also be scoring using our in-house trademarked mathematical-poetics scoring system. Expect other than just numbers to wholesomely and accurately respond to your intimate works of art. Our metrics and score-keeping will be as spontaneous and creative as the slam itself.

Let’s talk prizes!

The winner of the event will receive $70 cold-hard cash! Second place will get $30, just enough to buy the organizers drinks! Other poets will receive non-monetary prizes and hopefully their lives still intact. All participants should have fun testing their freestyling abilities in a fun, supportive setting.
